Crusin’ Through the Weekend
Although Haven’s streak of wonderful days has temporarily ended, she is still headed in the right direction. She has been a little dehydrated the last couple days and we are working to get her fluids balanced. We are still increasing her feeds a little each day. We are probably half-way to full feedings and she is loving it. Hopefully the nutrition will make her stronger and allow her to breathe better on her own.Â
 Haven has been on dialysis for almost four weeks now and so we are going to do a renal scan tomorrow to see if her kidney function has improved since her last test. We are hoping that her kidneys are healing and starting to do their job so she doesn’t have to be on dialysis long-term.
Haven has enjoyed sitting up in a new seat from her occupational therapy. She even got out of bed today and was held by mom for the first time in quite awhile. She is getting smarter every day and loves interacting with us (and her toys). Thank you for checking up on her and keeping her in your thoughts!

It’s another Monday and a start of a new week. I am praying that this week will be one of progress and direction for Haven and her doctors. Hopefully, the renal scan will come back positively and you can start to see an end to the stay at Riley. Don’t get me wrong the staff there has been great, but it is definately time to take the baby girl home.

Well, we all do better when we can play with our toys. So glad you were able to hold her. That has to feel wonderful to her and you.

Well good for Haven!
It’s so nice to hear she has had more good days. It will be interesting to see if her kidney function has improved.
Alison, it has to be so.o.o.. nice to hold Haven. It must be as challenging as a Rubiks Cube with all those tubes and wires. 🙂
We are still keeping your family in lots of prayer and are so thankful for all the “good stuff” that has been happening.
