Caught a bug?
Haven is acting a little under the weather today. That may seem like an understatement considering everything she is going through, but she just wasn’t her usual chipper and attentive self today. She has been restless and lathargic for most of the day, but has stayed pretty comfortable with pain medication. We have tests out to see if she has caught an infection, but nothing has come back positive yet. She had a large blood clot come out of her old feeding tube site so we are investigating that to see what may be going on inside her stomach.
Dialysis is still going well. She is not getting rid of fluid as dramatically as she was the first couple days after dialysis started, but she has been able to keep from accumulating additional fluid on most days and even gets off a little extra fluid on the other days. Even though the progress is slow, it is headed in the right direction. We will work on getting Haven feeling better tonight and tomorrow and will let you know how everything goes.

Just when we wonder how much little Haven can take she proves to EVERYONE that she is wanting to further her days on Earth. All believers face times where we say, Man I want to sit on the lap of God, ask Him questions especially the hard ones and get a clear verbal answer. Seems there are hard questions about Haven that we’d like to have some answers for. Unfortunately we cannot stomp our feet, pout or hide. We have to stand on our own 2 feet with God’s right beside ours. We look to Him for comfort, strength and wisdom. Find these things in prayer, His word and a Christian mentor. Stay with God guys, He knows your every need, the number of hairs on your head and He loves you all. We know we’ve seen a miracle in Haven. And each new day she just tries harder to show another. Does she already pray too? Smart little girl! We each love you all so much. Thank you for sharing your little miracle with us!
