Weekend Wonders
Well, it’s the weekend. That means it’s time for unexplainable things to happen when you least expect it. Very early this morning, Haven’s I.V. access line came out. So she has been unable to get all of the medications that she would normally be getting. She’s fine from a stability standpoint, but what she is missing are things for nutrition and shedding fluids. Since she wasn’t able to get those things, her In-versus-Out numbers aren’t quite as stellar as they have been. She was 56 mLs more out than in. We’re just thankful that she still had a negative balance. That means at least she’s not gaining fluid. The plan is to get a new line put in this afternoon (that’s been a little bit of a struggle as they typically avoid doing these kinds of things on the weekends), then we can start her back up on her meds. Hopefully, she’ll be able to pick up where she left off. Other than that, she’s just hanging out.

It is easy to be caught up with emotion regarding life’s ups and downs. The ups and downs are even more turbulent when it concerns someone we love. Every good report make us generate so much anticipation, while bad reports weigh like a brick.
Yet, God tells us to be content in every state, not to be tossed around by the turbulence of our emotions.
This is because we have a sure standing with God.
Nothing can shake our status before God, if we trust in His death for our offences (Rom 4:21,5:1). Paul says we stand in his grace, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God (Rom 5:2).
If our hope is in God’s glory, we will never be disappointed. God will receive all glory. Our lives will not always be a pretty picture but God is glorified through Christ in us.
Praise God, that he has promised eternal life to those that believe, and that in whatever state we are in with the world, we are always in a right state with God through Christ. Phil 4:13

I hope you had a wonderful rest of the weekend. I was reading my devotions this morning and it related very well with what Justin said above.
Psalm 125:1
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
My prayer for the Johnsons this morning is PRoverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lea not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
