To those affected by a heart defect:

Tough Afternoon

March 29, 2007 at 7:04 pm by Mom & Dad

Haven has been working real hard today to try and keep getting better.  This afternoon she started having some respiratory issues, so we’ve had to go back up considerably on the ventilator support.  The reason for her struggles this afternoon is still unknown, but we’re trying hard to figure it out for her.  We have a feeling that something isn’t quite right with her body in terms of managing her fluids.  At the same time she started having breathing problems this afternoon, we also noticed that she was becoming more puffy and that her stomach was getting bigger and tighter.  We are in the process of hearing back from a couple tests that may possibly show something to be the matter.  We’re hoping to get this straightened out before the weekend so we’re not dealing with all these problems until Monday.  We’ll keep you posted.
